I was first introduced to the music of Jeff Johnson while I was at Wheaton College. My friend Ty Warner played his Through the Door album, and I was hooked. Jeff Johnson is to keyboard music what Phil Keaggy is to guitar (and in the last few years they have recorded a couple CDs together).
On his vocal albums Jeff combines intellectual lyrics, and tradition praise songs to draw the listener in. His instrumental albums draw heavily on Celtic influences. Wishing today was a weekend day because I have a lot of Jeff to listen to I had the pleasure to meet Jeff once. He is a wonderful person as well as a musician and songwriter.
